Tony Nelson and his friend are drinking beer at his house when it friend claims he threatened him with a knife. A total of 47 members of the Albuquerque Police Department arrive to arrest Nelson. Officers sicced dogs on him, shot him with bean bags, shot him with four wooden batons, exploded a flash bang near him. Officer Armando Limon shot him with a stun gun and then shocked him six times at five seconds per “cycle” or stun. (See Appendix, 3. Nelson v. City of Albuquerque). On May 10, 2010, Nelson sued the city in state court (D-202-CV-201005750) and it was removed to federal court on June 8, 2010 (10-cv-00553).
